This afternoon around 5 we received our referral to adopt Christina and Kolya! This means we leave early Wed morning and drive to Odessa! Lord willing, we will see the kids in the afternoon. We have to drop all our stuff off at the flat in Odessa, pick up the inspector that is suppose to introduce us to the director of 88 and to our kids, then go to 88! If the inspector is not available, normally we would have to wait until the inspector is ready. However since we know the director and have her cell number, we will try calling and getting permission from the director to see the kids. Only if the inspector is not available, otherwise we will go with her.
We walked for almost 2 hours down the descent of St Andrews to the Dneiper River. That was great!! Then up (when there is a down, there is usually an up) to the arch overlooking the river and then back to Independence Square. Here is a picture of me at the arch and then looking at the river. It was not the AT(Appalachian Trail) but it was exciting! Every where you turn there are statues and domed cathedrals! Of course we bought an English guide book because we cannot read the plaques!!
Please be praying for our first meeting tomorrow with the kids! I am not sure how to pray or what I want to happen, except that they will want to be adopted by us. I
already love them and gradually they will love us also.
